The dogs had a blast. However I cringed every time they faltered trying to maneuver the postholed sections. |

Northern trailhead to Imp Face is in great shape. Well traveled with some light, not quite sticky snow on top. Views are fantastic. I was very grateful for the change in the weather forecast/inaccuracy! Heading over to the junction with the North Carter Trail is broken out as well but not as traveled. One fun blowdown I had to crawl under. I think the dogs laughed at me. From the junction to the southern trailhead is beautiful but marred by sections of postholes, only one really bad stretch though and perhaps I'm being overly sensitive but it is a wonder how s/he left their "mark" sporadically. |
