Comments
Comments: Started at 9:30. Snowshoes needed for entire loop with postholing. Minor postholing up Mt. Roberts trail. Bare rock on ledges. The fun begins after Mt. Roberts summit. Previous footprints filled in with snow. Broke trail and postholed approx. 6" - 1' deep the remaining 5+ miles wearing snowshoes. Get ready for a hefty workout lifting wet, slushy snow with each snowshoe posthole. Bushwhacked through Faraway Mtn trail switchbacks. Cold Spring Rd. plowed, removed snowshoes and easily bare booted on dirt and pavement. Back to parking lot at 2:30.
