| Comments: |
The hiking trail was a mix of conditions today. Areas that received less sun had packed wet/sticky snow, but others had unpacked snow with ankle deep postholes. Other areas that had a good monorail are now just a solid sheet of ice. Areas that have good sun exposure are either wet/muddy or bone dry and in great shape.
The trail heading right is in better condition for a descent. We descended on the left trail on some of the downhill parts are pretty slick/icy.
Traction was not necessary, but may help in some areas.
The views were great and the temperature/sun made it feel like a summer day on the summit. |
