This hike was basically snow free, just a few short patches to step on. But 99.99% snow free. Bee line is much harder to follow than express trail (which is now blazed). Bee line is unblazed, has tons of leafs down and branches down from winter. If you aren't familiar with it now might be a tough time to experiment with it. I have been on it several times before so had no problems, and there are clues such as crampons scrape marks on rock. |
