Water Crossing Notes: I went over the Leadmine brook several times and had no issue.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lost of blow-down and massive amounts of deadfall. Seemed to be a small number of blazes for and NH AT section. The AT was hard to follow in places due to this and snowcover.

Comments
Comments: Very tough spring conditions almost caused me to turn around at Hayes. Alternating deep/soft snow and bare turf. Lots of spots where I would break through the crust to a deep drop, sometimes into open water. I switch between snowshoes and bareboots several times and would have done so even more if I did not concede to some bareboot deep postholing and some bare-turf snowshoeing.

I decided to re-visit Trident col. peak. I headed straight up from the point where the AT gets closest to the peak. This required a fair amount of scrambling. To get down I headed down the west side, which is less steep, but thicker. From here I headed straight down the Leadmine brook drainage, eventually picking up logging roads that brought me back to North Road.
