Comments
Comments: John C and I parked at the end of Little River Road, crossing the bridge we took the snowmobile trail to the left (just after the bushwhack to North Twin). A half mile down the trail it crosses Haystack Road. We made a right turn and immediately came upon 304A (woods road) on the left. Follow that past the sand hill and within a hundred yards take the path to the right. It is marked with tape and a small cairn. Follow that straight up through an over grown clear cut area. In the clear cut area keep following the waterway through the heavy brush. Once that opens up near the woods, cut straight through the last of the brush into the woods. We headed up to the false summit (I recommend not going too far to the South (right) here as there is a herd path you can pick up about 3/4 of the way up that will take you to the false summit). From there we followed the herd path over to the true summit. There are lots of blow downs on top and we encountered ice and some snow deep enough to posthole through. Beautiful views of North Twin just past the summit.
