Comments
Comments: Hiked from 302 to Jackson, then Webster and back down on Saturday 5/16. Below the junction trails are dry, no issues. Up Jackson, intermittent monorail started about .5 miles from the summit. Same conditions across col to Webster then back down. Every time we started thinking about putting on traction, the snow stopped and we were on rock, but then the snow picked up again -- looks like whereever the snow drifted, it still remains, 2.5 feet deep in some places. But we managed to do the whole loop without traction. The gray jays were in force at the summit of Jackson! Great views from both peaks.
