Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some stepover blowdowns on the grassy road portion of the trail, some of which will require a chainsaw. The narrow portion of the trail up to Black Mountain could use some brushing, as well as some blowdown removal (one with chainsaw). Nothing overly annoying though.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad at all. A mosquito or two and an apathetic deer fly, all of which only pursued for maybe a minute. Despite being a grassy trail, no ticks found.

Comments
Comments: A surprisingly pleasant trail. A little bit muddy just above Great Brook, but otherwise dry and good going. Views from the summit are even less than they were last year.
