Comments
Comments: After hiking Garfield, Layfayette and Lincoln I returned to Gale river road via a bushwhack over Big Bickford and Scarface. The woods are very open over both peaks. The PVC register is gone on Big Bickford (as bryan already reported this past winter).

There are some difficult clear cut areas when you head east off of scarface. Nothing too bad though. I had planned to hit forest road 92A, however, I thought I passed it (an over-grown road covered in thorn bushes) and began heading east until I hit the Garfield trail. It turns out, I likely did not descend enough before I began slabing east. Still not a bad route.
