Comments
Comments: Fabulous day to climb Beaver Brook Trail and to be out on Moose. Mountain sandwort and three-toothed cinquefoil are in bloom. The Benton Trail, not as heavily used as other trails, still had a fair amount of forest duff, dirt and pine needles to be somewhat soft under foot in places. We had a pretty easy 1.5 mile walk along the now closed section of the Tunnel Brook Trail. We passed over a 300 yard or longer section of road with "slash" laid down... making for rough going. Then we hit a section of road that has been graded with fill and covered with straw so that grass can take hold. There were still a couple of hurricane damaged sections of road to view. Great day out with Frank M. and new friends.
