| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
They have swept up the broken glass that was there a few weeks ago. No other cars when we got there about 9 AM. About 3 others when we got back at 1:30 PM. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Nothing major. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No problems with blowdowns. Sign still missing at the junction of the new trail going to Old Mountain Road parking lot and the old trail that goes straight to the road. Not a problem for most people. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Encountered a couple of unleashed dogs at the summit. (sign at trailhead notwithstanding). Owner had a little trouble keeping one from following us down the trail. Other dog barked and growled at me. Must have been a Yankee fan that spotted my cap. |
| Bugs: |
Not a serious problem. One deer fly began chewing on my arm. I dispatched him. Some ear buzzers now and then but I have seen much worse. |
| Lost and Found: |

| Comments: |
Warm, hazy day. Could hardly see Monadnock from the summit. Lots of blueberries everywhere. Slowed us down some. |
