Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of room at paved parking area at the Northern terminus, Mountain Road, Greenfield, we were only car at 8:30 am. Gravel Parking lot at Southern terminus lot, Rte 119, Ashburnham, MA, was full when we finished at 6:20 pm with many people going to the Watatic summit on a Friday night! Car spot was a pain in the morning because we didn't know that a bridge was out on Rte 123. Did better in afternoon heading west and cutting over to Jaffery.

Comments
Comments: We picked a winner of day to do the Wapack traverse from North to South. We each carried 3 or 4 liters of water and we spotted water two more liters each at the half way point (Belletette Parking Area). We drank it all. Great vistas all day and it was delightful to see Mount Monadnock and Gap Mountain from all the different mountain tops and we admired how the view changed at each vantage. Wild Blueberry Heaven!!! We visited every high point and outlook. There are artistic stone stacking and fine old stonewalls between Holt and Burton Peaks. We did not enjoy the long over grown grassy re-route at Windblown. Chaos at once we reached Mass. two misplaced women (thankful we shared our map), lots of people on Watatic Summit (a man doing pushups, blueberry pickers, hot teenagers) and the parking lot was a traffic jam. We had a fun day.
