Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only major one was bridged.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There are a few blowdowns on the lower part of Percy Peaks Trail that are easily negotiated. The 0.1 mile section of the Cohos Trail (Old Summer Club Trail) has seen light use, but was still evident. The spur path to South Percy, despite the sign, was steep and rough, with a light footway, extremely narrow corridor, and a couple blowdowns. Wear pants if you do South Percy!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Watch your dog on the open ledges of North Percy. Might not be a good idea for some to take a dog on the South Percy path. Otherwise, no issues!
Bugs
Bugs: Minimal and not biting.

Comments
Comments: Was a rough and challenging but nice and scenic hike. South Percy had good views, but the views from North Percy were even better! They weren't optimal, though, due to low cloud cover in the distance. Overall, I'd say my first hike in the North Country was a success.
