Comments
Comments: Followed the long-abandoned Bear Mountain CCC Ski Trail from Bear Notch Road up to about 2,400' or so. A little bit confusing down low due to logging roads, but generally pretty obvious (no sharp turns in the fairly level low elevations, and generally a wider bed than a logging road). Had traces of it from about 2,200' to perhaps 2,600' (trail used to have short switchbacks in here, so anyone's guess really). Up to about 2,700', had pretty good going, generally hardwoods. 2,700' to about 2,800' was pretty thick, but then it was moderate going up to the ridge. Popped out 20 feet from the cannister. Descent was slightly thicker in places (slightly west of the trail).
