Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at the AT trailheads. Long Pond Road is dirt and narrow but passable for all cars and in the best condition I have ever seen.

Water Crossing Notes: about as dry as I have ever seen the trails, Beaver Brook cascades plenty full of water

Trail Maintenance Notes: trails well marked and love the DOC orange signs

Dog-Related Notes: Don't take a dog on Beaver Brook unless it is a mountain climbing dog with sticky rubber paws

Comments: Second day with my AT hiker friend slack packing north. Amazed at the terrific condition Long Pond Road between 116 and Glencliff, we were able to drive 30 mph easily--big time saver.
