| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at the small parking area at the Hale Brook Trail. No problems. I hiked out to the Zealand Trail parking lot. It's a larger parking area with a bathroom. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
There are two water crossings on the Hale brook trail that were fast moving but easily crossed. The Zealand Trail was muddy, wet, with lots of running water but I was able to keep my feet dry. There was a lot of running water on the trail but it wasn't too much of a problem. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail was well maintained, very well marked and easy to follow. Thank you! |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
My 10 lb chihuahua had no problems with the trail and was happy to indulge in some vegetarian chili at the Zealand hut. |

| Comments: |
This is a nice easy/moderate loop with a short road walk. After heavy rains there may be some difficulty crossing the Hale brook and crossing the wetland areas of Zealand trail. |
