Trails: Little Mt. Deception Trail

Date of Hike: Saturday, November 14, 2015
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at campsite #4 on Cherry Mountain Road (though I think #3 is closer). There is a pullout right across from #3 that would provide for a car or two if the campsites were occupied.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is flagged just in from the road, and at several points along its length. Probably helpful when everything is leafed out, but with the leaves down, the corridor is very evident. Many blowdowns along the way to navigate over, under, and around, but the trail was always easy to pick up on the other side.

Comments
Comments: Finally checked out this little peak, and even though the views were obscured by low clouds and blowing snow, it's a viewpoint I'll definitely be returning to. For a trail that's been abandoned, it was still pretty easy to follow (at least on the way up, the way down it's more obscure, and even with my own tracks to follow, I got off it a couple of times). I will surely be returning to this one, especially on a nice winter day.
