Comments
Comments: we headed straight into open woods from the road with some wet spots early then good going with a couple open cuts before reaching a flat wet shoulder with more spruce, but still open going. a solid inch of wet snow on the ground. a short steep ascent with tighter growth brought us up a bit south of the summit. it took a fair bit of poking around the broad, generally flat and scrappy summit area to find the recognized highpoint. there was plenty of snow to be able to backtrack out following our foot prints. definitely recommend wearing ample blaze orange as there is a lot of hunting activity up north right now.
