We brought our Microspikes but never used them. Stretches of ice, water on the Davis Path but not bad enough to require Traction. Mt. Parker trail had some ice on steep sections and on the big Resolution Ledge. We bushwhacked around the icy ledge, Microspikes would not have been grippy enough. The true summit is hard to find. The trails near the summit require considerable care to follow. The last stretch has a small tree blowdown right before the summit which makes it appear the trail does not continue at that point. The summit has no view at all, so you miss nothing if you can't find it. Just a few rocks piled up, that's it. |
