A loop I've been meaning to hike for years. Brook Tr. is steeper and rougher, so I agree with Steve Smith, in his Chocorua book, that it is better to ascend Brook and descend Liberty. I met no hikers on Brook until near the summit, after the Liberty Tr. joins it. |
