Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few tiny ones. The only issue here is that you may need to watch for ice.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Good! Hardly any blazes but the trail is so obvious it doesn't matter. I'm only mentioning it because it was funny to see one when we were close to the summit, having only seen one or two near the bottom.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one having a great time.
Bugs
Bugs: Prema saw a few flying insects.

Comments
Comments: This is a great hike for those looking for something that won't take all day and ruin your knees. The grade is very gentle. Mostly flat in the beginning, then a gradual ascent. Very pretty open woods featuring many birches, a few large ones. Many small streams. Watch out for frozen muddy areas. There were icy spots, too, but no need for spikes today (but definitely in the future). Be sure to check out the small herd trails on top, there is one that will give you a view of the lake. The main view was obscured by clouds and fog in the distance, but still nice. We descended by the snowmobile trail - lots of open woods. Nice way to spend Thanksgiving.
