we drove in dummer ponds road from rt. 16 for about 7.5 miles turning left onto the signed trio ponds road. we drove this for about 1.2 miles to an old log landing area with two road leaving it. one is dirt and new and the other is grassy heading more uphill. the grassy road is the road to the tower. lots of room to park here. |

nice walk up the grassy logging road with a trace of snow and more falling. some ice higher up. at what seems like a bit under a mile a very evident atv/snowmobile trail turns up right (north). some spotty ice on this trail up to the ridge then it turns east towards the peak. there is a sign for the tower at a junction set back in some trees. would be hard to see with leaves up. good walking the rest of the way to the tower. tower is still in great shape with awesome views. |
