Oh dear me, I don't know how I managed to pull this stunt but I lost my orange Patagonia down jacket with one of my favorite hats in the pocket somewhere NE of the cascades. |

As expected whack up from cascades was steep in a mixture of open and tight woods. Warm temperatures and cloudy skies made it feel pretty dark in the woods; compass was a friend. I liked that big rock with the old shovel head lying on it, near the canister. I went up high on the Cascades for the big view back at Tecumseh, that was the best vista. |
