Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: bushwhacked up and downstream the eroded bank to find a safe spot to cross Lucy brook where the tree extends across . thursday night's rain was just enough to make secure rock hopping a little dicey for me. opted to cross a few yards downstream where there is a clog of debris and the water was lower and not moving as fast.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: blazing between north and middle could use a refresh in some places, but the trail is not difficult to follow. lots of water flowing down the trail after the Attitash junction pretty much all the way to the top. probably could use some water bars or drainage work.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: i think dogs would be fine.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: i lost my damn gloves early on in the day. (Black EMS grippy) i thought i had dropped them near the junction with moat and red ridge, but when i returned in the afternoon, i did not see them, so maybe it was at the junction of the attitash trail. enjoy if you find them. almost pulled a bailey and walked off without my poles after a snack break, but fortunately didn't get far before noticing.

Comments
Comments: an early birthday hike for me, due to the high winds forecast for the weekend, i chose to go friday. solo redlining. i brought spikes, but didn't need them at all. no ice on friday, but i imagine with falling temps and all the water, that conditions slicked up over the weekend. didn't see a single soul all day long. spectacular view from both north and middle moat. birthday celebrations continued off trail snugged up in the cabin in front of the fire with a glass of vino.
