Comments
Comments: Back to NH after several weeks hiking in Maine. A perfect hiking day - can't believe that more people weren't out! Met many on lower baldface coming back from Emerald pool and 2 coming down slippery rook from South Baldface. Lots of water, wet leaves and mud on the trails today - boots got wet and muddy today - impossible to avoid it was best just to walk on through. Frozen ground heading up the cone of Eastman though only one icy ledge that just required watching where you step. However, given water on trails and coming cold temps there will be a lot of ice under the snow next week so traction will likely will be needed after Tuesday. Lots of sun and blue skies - could see for miles and miles -could even see the wind turbines up near Weld(?) in Maine.
