| Comments: |
Started off in Microspikes and carrying umbrella. (Snow was falling steadily and I like to keep head n shoulders dry.) Switched to crampons before steeps of East Osceola. Very icy - glad I had full crampons and wore them all the way up and down the peaks. Did Chimney Bypass on outbound, bypass of bypass on inbound. Some drifting on ridge, but snowshoes would have been overkill IMO. Had peaks to myself and didn't meet anyone else until the slide on the way down.
Approximately 3-4" new snow had fallen by midday. |
