EASY was the word of the day, this being about the fastest conditions I've ever encountered on Owls Head in "winter." Barebooted about half, microspiked the other half. Micros were sufficient on the Brutus, and the footing, although steep, was nice and grippy with spikes.
Did not bring or need snowshoes. Skiing Lincoln Woods Trail would not be very fun right now. It's very hardpacked and icy. #48/48 SMJ |
