Comments
Comments: The snowshoes started on my pack but I ended up ditching them in the woods a short time into the hike. In the morning the trail had bareboot/spike tracks breaking in the maybe 2" of snow received overnight. There was a little more powder on the ridge but by the afternoon the trail became pretty well packed from foot traffic and a pair of shoers.

The entire ascent was spent under the clouds but when I got the Waumbek outlook I was greeted with scattered low valley clouds along with spots of orange and blue over the Presidentials. More of the same was had on Starr King on my way out. Many folks out enjoying the outdoors today.
