| Comments: |
1-3 inches of new light powder on a very packed Glencliff trail. Wore micros the entire way. A couple of minor icy spots with minimal cover on the steeps. Crampons stayed in the pack. Drifts on Carriage Road, but largely packed. Monster drift (6ft) right before leaving treeline for the last time. (Where did that cliff come from?) Drifts easily skirted above treeline. Snowshoes would not have been a problem, given most of the rocks were covered, but weren't really needed either. 0F on top with winds gusting to 40mph around 11am. |
