| Comments: |
Surprising blue skies with frigid temps. Main trails with well packed powder easily maneuvered with bare boots or microspikes (which we used). If there is significant snow fall, snowshoes might be useful high up. Wonderful day experiencing nature's chill. Terrific view of the lake from Major for little effort. Would have been great to hang around the summit longer if not for the wind. Best winter gear recommended for these cold days.
