Microspikes were fine until 200-300 yards before the Imp Face. Needed to switch to crampons to make it up an icy section at that point. Kept the crampons on for the entire descent, which worked well for a few icy spots. -1 degree Fahrenheit at the start, very cold in the woods, but it warmed up a bit at the Imp Face with the sun shining down. No wind at all at the Imp Face. |
