Perfect winter day to be out. We started out in Hillsounds on the Auto Road but found we could shed them and walk on the side of the road when necessary. Alot of pavement was showing. Went over to North Pack and had many icy sections, but spikes were sufficient. Would also recommend spikes for Marion Davis Trail. We had spikes on for the descent, but the trail became dry and we took them off. But it wasn't for long, as we ran into ice again and kept them on until the parking lot. |
