Comments
Comments: Ascended via White Dot, Cascade, Spellman and Pumpelly trails, descended via White Dot and White Cross. Minor mud and occasional slush to about 2,000 feet gave way to mostly bare rock with occasional hard ice, which was easily avoided in most places by walking over the tops of rocks. A few brief packed-snow sections in sheltered areas nearer the summit, but easily done with bare boots. We brought Microspikes but never put them on; hikers less comfortable on icy trails would likely benefit from traction.
