| Comments: |
Herd path was choppy, bony, wet, and icy. North Twin Trail was better. Wore spikes but ice situation was much better than anticipated given all the rain. In fact, my spikes were balling up, so I took them off and barebooted up/down Firewardens and got plenty of grip. Group ahead of us wore snowshoes on upper Firewardens, not absolutely necessary but made for nice footing. There is about 3" of new snow up high which fell Thursday night, so snowshoes may be warranted on higher peaks. Beautiful hike! |
