| Comments: |
Brisk, cold day for a hike. The wind never really caused much trouble. Lots of ice down lower covered with a light dusting of snow. Snow depth increased with elevation. Maybe 3 inches of fresh snow up on the ridge. Snowshoes could be worn from just below Starr King and over to Waumbek. We uses Microspikes all day without issue. One large ice flow at about half way across the traverse below Starr King. |
