Comments
Comments: The snow surface in the woods is very lean and forgiving. 1" of powder on firm and consolidated Styrofoam type snow provided easy walking. Headed up the old logging road off of Haystack defined by the three boulders and followed the skidder path about 100 yards beyond the sand pit. Began the bushwhack exiting left prior to entering the overgrown clearcut. Followed drainage up to top of clearcut and from there headed toward the false summit where we picked up a fairly well-defined herd path to the true summit.
