Took some friends and their young children up the Elwell Trail from Newfound Lake to Sugarloaf and then back for the loop to Goose Pond. It was the first time they had hiked in this area and they had a great time; the Sugarloaves offer a lot of bang for the buck with great views of the lake and some nice ledge walks. Trails are in great shape and in the last few months a number of nice, new carved directional signs (thank you!) have been placed at major trail intersections at least as far as Sugarloaf. |
