| Comments: |
There is no real snowpack anywhere here, but a quarter inch of fresh powder covered everything today, making it tricky to see the ice underneath. Many sections in upper half of the elevations on this hike had significant ice sheets on the trail that were too hard for microspikes to gain purchase on. Most of the time there were rocks or vegetation on the side of the trail to destroy, I mean walk on, but sometimes the ice completely covered everything. We looped around the cliff trail to add mileage.
