Comments
Comments: Came back to run up these trails one day later after doing them, and with temperatures now in the high 60s -- very different conditions just after one day of melt. Thin ice on Orange Trail, monorail in some spots, and now plenty of bare patches. We used light traction but unlike the day before, when we only had to remove it on the open ledges, we probably could have used it only half the time, mainly on sections of the Orange Trail and one or two inclined, shaded sections of Elwell Trail.

We're going to give this route another day or so and by that time it should be completely bare-bootable, with only a few sections of ice that are easily avoided. This will soon be on the list of snow-free trails.

Spring is coming on very quickly.
