Comments
Comments: We sure encountered a mix of conditions today on the Baldface Range today! Icy down low to Circle Junction, then transitioning to bare ground and some minor icy stretches on the northern leg of the loop. Icy below the steeps at the top of the ridge. Alternating between hard packed snow and ice and bare rock up to North Baldface, and between the peaks. Icy stretches descending from South Baldface to Baldface Knob, and down the upper portion of Slippery Brook. Spikes sufficed for what we found today. A light icy mix fell as we climbed, transitioning to all snow at elevation, going pretty good as we neared the ridge. Things gradually cleared out, and we had stellar views from all the peaks, light winds too! Thanks for another good one Jake.
