Comments
Comments: One of our group wore microspikes the entire way but needed assistance. The other 3 of us wore serious traction and faired better. The ice is deep and slippery. We did run into 5 kids that were in sneakers and shorts, 4 made it to the summit and one sat down on the side of the trail - scared. His friends abandoned him and he was aided down by another hiker. Very, very, very lucky that a rescue was not needed up there today.
