Comments
Comments: I didn't use traction up to the col to Lafayette, but, I probably should have - it was very difficult due to thick ice. When I switched to bushwhack mode in the col, I put on the micros - woods still had some deep snow and ice but too many blowdowns to even think about snowshoes. I slipped in a few holes on the way up. I went too far left uphill and had to crawl up the steep rocks and tree areas. On the descent, I picked good herd paths and didn't end up getting sucked into the ravine on the left this time. Views a little cloudy from the top but always fun. I didn't go down to the lower outlook. Quite scrappy near the top and some thick woods I unfortunately hit this time (on ascent).
