Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in great shape, well marked. although don't get confused by all the colors. We were following the Belknap Range Trail from Mt. Major parking lot to Round Pond. The color changes because the BRT uses existing trails.

Comments
Comments: Planned a Belknap Range Trail traverse from Major to Rowe. Started at Major figuring we could bale at multiple locations and still get a good mileage 10+ hike before the real rain started. BRT (Boulder Loop Tr.) is not the easiest from the parking lot, but was a good warm up. Missed some friends doing just Major by a few minutes at the top. No ice left on any of the trails, just mud and lots of leaves. Sprinkles (leaking as one of hiking party put it) started just as we reached the ledges of Major. Decided to keep going and it was a raincoat on again off again day. Saw one person on Major who took our picture. Windy and cool on top of Straightback. Didn't see anyone else until we were between Anna and Mack, solo hiker also commented that he didn't think he would see anyone and here we were 5 hikers and a Westie.
Decided not to tempt fate and baled onto the Round Pond Trail back to our cars at the Gunstock parking lot, good choice since just as we turned off the BRT the rain started. Great hike though, still had views of the lake. Thanks Diana, Susanne, Dave and Linda for a fun hike.
