| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Can park at the top of Howe Hill by the white house. If you are adventurous one could attempt to drive down to trail head parking. Road has sharp rocks and is very bumpy. Trail head parking is a mud swamp, I parked down by the white house and walked the extra 750 ft. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in rough shape. I just adopted trail recently and plan to be doing work on it this summer. Many blow downs and some rough water bars that need to be replaced/ cleaned out. All blow downs can be stepped over but are annoying. |

What an awesome day to go hiking. Beautiful weather with no winds on the summit. Must have been close to 65 degrees on summit. Very warm down below summit with plenty of sun. Saw plenty of other hikers on the trail. Trail is pretty muddy with lots of debris and leaves on the trail (which I plan on changing). There are few patches of ice near the top of the trail which are avoidable and is unnecessary to bring traction. Go do the first bare-boots hike of the season and come hit BLACK MTN. If you have any trail maintenance suggestions please send to my e-mail as I am new volunteer for this trail, thank you. |
