| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Room for several cars at the pull-off on Bear Mountain Rd (just off Panorama Lane in Hebron) - at Bear Mountain (lower trail to Bear Mountain) trailhead. NOTE: the road is VERY bumpy and rocky - need a high clearance vehicle. Past the Bear Mtn Trailhead, the road is EXTREMELY rutted - I did NOT drive to the Elwell Trailhead - I walked that short segment of Bear Mountain Road. |

| Comments: |
Excellent short hikes in the Hebron area. Big views of Newfound Lake from Big Sugarloaf - pretty good trail conditions there and fairly short from this side. Bear Mountain is always fun - lots of ups and downs along the ridge but fairly steep descent - I did the Elwell/Bear Mtn loop to ridge. Easy-to-follow trail(s) through he logged areas - excellent blazes!!!! |
