Comments
Comments: True to other comments on the boards, the Hatchery gate is posted to close at 4. However, we departed around 5:20, and the gate was still open. We were the last car to leave the lot too. Another hiker cut his summit bids short for fear of the gate closing. Traction was helpful on the North-facing ascension routes of Weeks, and Weeks South. Give it another week or two, and the remaining trace ice on the steeps will be gone. Not much of an issue up middle. The is only a small cairn marking Weeks South.
