Comments
Comments: Hadn't hiked North Pack from this end in a while, so off I went! This time, I took Ted's Trail the whole way, which I had never done before. Glad I did- IMHO, it's the best route up the mountain. Views, cairns, spruce woods, ledges, cascades, the whole sha-bang! Also stopped at South Cliff along the Cliff Trail, which had excellent views. Summit was nice as always, but I found out from another hiker why the views are so obstructed- the trees grew in a LOT. He said from the summit cairn, you used to be able to see straight to the north with no growth! Guess North Pack has Mt. Hale syndrome...

5.9 mi, 1,350 ft gain, and a great afternoon on the trail.
