| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
from rt. 16 in errol (though the peak is in dummer) we drove in millsfield pond road for 1.1 miles to deer mountain trail. millsfield road in decent shape. most cars would want to park here owing to the steep loose road the atv trail follows. with amys rig we were able to drive up to a bridge that was made for atvs and not trucks and park in an old log landing. |

| Comments: |
we walked up the dusty trail/road to its height of land where there are picnic tables and a great view to the mahoosucs and down to the carter range. from there we took a line on the summit and enjoyed mostly open woods up to the recognized highpoint which is a knob that seems to line up pretty well with the spot elevation. there was one limited viewpoint along the way. near the top of an old cut. we drifted a bit north on the return, but actually found even nicer woods and ultimately came back out to the atv trail in about the same place. |
