Parking/Access Road Notes: the small lot on Lime KIlm Road fills up quickly, but there are spaces on the road available.

Water Crossing Notes: only one crossing near the start of the trail traversed by a plank.

Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is in great shape.

Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any dogs today but it would be a fine hike for a dog.  
Bugs
Bugs: surprisingly few ! I applied bug spray at the start of the hike and never needed it again.

Lost and Found: nothing

Comments: My first time up Black Mountain. A small peak that still packs a punch. a good starter hike for those training for something bigger.

We saw a large milk snake just off the summit. They're harmless but a bit intimidating. If you're snake phobic keep an eye out for him.
