Lost Garmin GPS 60CSx somewhere about a quarter of the way down to the Kanc from S Peak, I'm guessing about 3500'. Found two Cars kevlar kids helium birthday balloons, both deflated but pretty close to each other (somebody had their party out here?!). Definitely didn't get the better of that exchange! |

Pretty thick going up to S Peak, though keeping to the west of the ridge was marginally better than on top. The ridge between the peaks was a much nicer walk thru waist high conifers. |
